40 year-old Christopher M. Bour, who is european, will spend the rest of his life in a US federal prison for sexually molesting an infant on eight occasions during about a 14-month period in 2011 and 2012. Bour pleaded guilty in January 2014, without a plea agreement, to paying Sister Natisha Hillard a total of US$500 to have sex with a 4-month-old girl, an arrangement that lasted until the child was 18 months old.
On 15 May 2014, U.S. District Court Judge Rudy Lozano rejected Bour’s request for the mandatory minimum of 30 years in prison, saying that his crime was too "horrific". He sentenced Bour to a life sentence plus 55 years to be served consecutively.
Bour pleaded guilty to buying a child for sex, possessing child pornography and three counts of producing child pornography.
Sister Hillard, whom Bour met in 2011 through a dating service, also pleaded guilty in the case and is awaiting sentencing. She was prepared to testify Thursday at Bour’s sentencing but was not called, according to prosecutors.
Sister Hillard has admitted to being in the room with Bour and the baby on all but the last meeting, when he paid her extra to be alone with the baby.
"In all honesty, much of the evidence in here is very disgusting," U.S. District Court Judge Rudy Lozano said during the sentencing hearing at federal court in Hammond.
