How y'all feel about dating someone who's probably 8 years younger than you? Is it something you'd even consider or do you just prefer to date someone you own age group or older?

Any sister who's looking for a younger man, maybe she just wants to share in her experience, pick up the latest tricks, give me a call, you won't be disappointed wink.gif

Lol!

Yes, I dated a foine, beautiful spirited brotha from Guadauloupe. He was 9 years younger than me... *sigh*
I was 35 at the time... He was astonished at my age... ya know, Black aint cracking and all:)

But that was then. This is now. I'm now happily married to a beautiful brotha from Dominica... he's the same age, but dang, we both look young and youthful... blessed by genes and the melanin.

Peace and Light

I've been with older females in the past myself and interestingly I've never had a girlfriend younger than me, but I find that as fellas get older they prefer to settle with younger women whereas a lot of older women are settling with younger guys.
My other question is: What do you think is your absolute limit age wise when it comes to dating? Originally I started this topic aimed at sistas but this goes out to male and female.

Thirty.

I remember asking out a big woman who was in her mid-thirties a few years ago when I was 17, but she knocked me back for being "a cheeky boy!"

If I was single right now the maximum age would prolly be 35. I remember some of my sister's friends I used to fancy when I was a yoot who didn't take me seriously but when I became older and got hitched they finally started to notice me. (Sorry luv, but you had your chance. tongue.gif ) I used to be quite a forward little mister back in the day so that's probably why. I remember at parties trying to whine up with big women loooooool.

Is there any truth that men who date older women are looking for their mothers? wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

Seriously though, I generally wouldn't date a younger man. In fact, I don't think I've ever dated anyone more than a year younger than me. I tend to gravitate towards men that are older than me. Saying that, if I met a mature younger brother who could offer me what I need intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, I wouldn't say no!

I urge all older sisters to disregard this statement. When I was 19 (not much older now) I could do things with a bowl of ice that would blow your mind. Think on that, ponder, let it marinate. Allow your imagination to run wild for a second.

Don't write all us young'ns off just yet. We have things to offer wink.gif .

See that's what I like to hear. Maybe it's not all positive but it's an open mind nonetheless.
