My new girl accused me of being "to cynical" when we were talking politics yesterday - I was a little insulted, even though she was joking (sort of), I'm not sure if I should just put it down to a difference of opinion or try and talk her round to being more "radical".

As long as your opinions aren't too opposed to each other, a difference of opinion is all it is, however if it is that two different life philosophies (not just political) exist in direct oppisition, You need to be talking and looking to meet each other half way. Believe I'm just experiencing that in my life and letting it go on for too long leads to the two of you walking two different paths and eventually distancing yourselves from each other.

Congrats on the new sis in your life bro.

Hotep.

PS, if she reads (it's sad that I have to say this at all for males or females) you might just want to let her read some of the books or maybe you could just introduce her to some of the people that helped you shape your political views, in that way even if she doesn't agree, she may grow to understand.
I was born with two ears and one mouth. One guess as to which should be used more.

I guess shes more of a liberal socialist type, were I'm more what she called "Black Nationalist"?!, we're both Pan-Afrikanist pretty much so suppose its a difference of opinion - she also has a lot of white friends even though she complains about them behind their backs laugh.gif
