WakeUp! is a forum for artistic youth
empowerment. It is a national network for young, 16-25
year old, positive African British artists and works succesfully
in colleges and universities. Its primary aim is to offer
empowerment advice and represent its members collective
concerns to the media and relevant industry organisations.
Wake Up! also aims to provide exposure for marginalised
talent whilst developing its members skills and abilities.
This is to be achieved by allowing members to run their
own non-profit polemic literature, record and video/ film
producing labels. Members are also responsible for developing
their art while recording, filming, engineering, publishing,
managing, promoting and managing the product distribution.
