This is the Adinkra symbol ‘woforo dua pa a’ signifying support, cooperation and encouragement from the expression "Woforo dua pa a, na yepia wo" meaning "when you climb a good tree, you are given a push". It means that when you work for a good cause, you will get support.

support truth

Whether you are an individual or an organisation, here are just a few of the ways in which you can help support Truth in 2007;

1. Help promote Truth 2007 events. This can be as simple as forwarding emails, downloading, printing and photocopying leaflets and flyers and distributing them at libraries, schools, bookshops, retail outlets etc

2. Get in touch with us and organise your own Truth 2007 event where you live. We can provide you with a resource pack including literature giving information and advice on how to organise events for your own local community. Anyone that organises events under the Truth 2007 banner is free to use the Truth logo and Operation Truth logo on any promotional material (flyers, websites, leaflets etc) to show solidarity and support for this community led initiative. Please email us at info@truth2007.org for further information.

3. Download our template letter and write to your local MP's and councillors requesting that they support an annual day of African Remembrance that does not limit our history to being the victims of British slavery.

4. Download our template letter and write to your local schools head teacher instructing them to exclude your child from lessons focusing primarily on abolitionists such as William Wilberforce until they balance their curriculum by highlighting the primary role of African freedom fighters involved in resisting the Maafa.

5. Boycott any government endorsed 2007 bicentenary celebrations and only support commemorative events that are linked to the Truth 2007 initiative.

6. Join an Operation Truth regional coalition
