Brother Coleman-Farrow pleaded guilty to 13 counts of misconduct in a public office at Southwark Crown Court. He failed to investigate rape and sexual assault cases and falsified entries on a police computer system.

This is pure evil and I just don't understand why someone would do this. What was the motive?

The court heard he failed to send items for analysis, take witness statements and falsified witness statements.
In one rape case, the defendant claimed the alleged victim had withdrawn support for the proceedings and in another case the result of forensic tests on exhibits was noted as negative when the tests had not been carried out, the court was told.
He also falsified records of Crown Prosecution Service decisions which had never actually been referred to it.

Unless this 'man' was a member of the Black Police Officers Federation I'm not sure that this is the right thread.

The "should we trust the police" thread is more appropriate.

I do not have their membership list, so perhaps if any of them are Ligalites, they can publish it here.

I am sure this case also merits mention on the thread to which you draw attention.

Call for Black police officers to boycott ‘Stop and search’

Submitted 16 Oct 2012 2:34pm

Lee Jasper former Policing Director for London will call for Black officers to boycott the use of racial profiling in the discriminatory use of abusive stop and search powers. He also will call on National Black Police Association- NBPA- to lead the fight against racism in the British judicial processes.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Yes, it appears to be a Good (God) idea.

It would be a good idea if there was a realistic prospect that Black Police Officers would consider challenging White Power and Authority in this way.

The National Black Police Association is not "Fit for Purpose" until such time that it is not directly or indirectly impacted by the Power of White Supremacy.

The National Black Police Association is not "Fit for Purpose" until such time that it is not controlled by White Money.

National Black Police Association

What is the NBPA About?

The objective of the National Black police Association (NBPA) is to promote good race relations and equality of opportunity within the police services of the United Kingdom and the wider community.

What does the NBPA do?

The NBPA works to place fairness at the heart of the Police Agenda. We do this by taking forward initiatives for the Progression of minority officers and staff ; such as mentoring schemes, leadership programmes, women in policing projects supported by the National Institute for Leadership and Empowerment. The NBPA has a high Profile within the Home Office and Government Strategic Committees. As well as members of a range of decision-making steering groups, we have regular meetings with the all policing stakeholders....

Black police group funding frozen

The NBPA represents the interests of more than 10,000 members

...According to a letter sent to the NBPA on 4 April - obtained by the Police Review magazine - the Home Office has set out of a number of conditions to meet before funding will resume.

Ch Supt Ali Dizaei said the freezing of funds, which prevents any money leaving accounts, was an inconvenience that would "blow away"....

Scotland Yard say a Metropolitan police officer has been charged with five counts of rape.

The 52-year-old man, who was based in Lambeth, will appear on bail at Bromley Magistrates Court on 30 January."

PC Brother Errol Patterson of Brixton Police station will have a considerable amount of explaining to do.

Is it fair to link this to the Black Police Officers Federation? Was he a member?

ying to find more information on this other than references to the original Evening Standard - LondonJanuary 30, 2013 article is difficult.

One of the problems is that every African in the police force seems to be a member when they want more money and promotion, but none of them seem to be members when they are arrested.

Meanwhile ... a wannabee member from overseas?

Try reporting the truth for once,  PC Errol Patterson was found not guilty..instead of just trying to put dirt on one of the good black officers our there.

The problem we Africans have is that we are to busy being enemies amongst ourselves and thinking that we are the some how the enlightened one... Get Real !!

Well maybe if you did some investigating of your own into the matter rather than just repeating the main stream media headlines, then you will have a better understanding how the false allegations came about.

I know PC Patterson and the good work that he does in our community here in Lambeth, but you have chosen to malign him, you might as well have sold him into slavery.

You highlight the injustices out there, but then you go and repeat the same garbage, doing the same thing. Try investigating the FACTS.
