I have just learned of the Benin Bronzes while doing a history degree. I was appalled at the way in which the art was taken and subsequently kept. There is no doubt that these artifacts should be returned to the people of Benin, where they rightfully belong. No one else has the right to keep them, they were stolen, send them back, it is their heritage.
